On November 1, 2013, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department purchased 200 Buddy Kits. Today, the Department began training its officers to provide Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS). Melissa Christian and her children, Callie and Wyatt, were on-hand to help train and equip the first class. Each officer that goes through training is issued a Buddy Kit. The Buddy Kit will be a central component of the TEMS provisioning process that is underway at the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. With the acquisition of these kits, Athens-Clarke County Police officers now have new tools in their hands to help preserve life.

Kudos to Chief Lumpkin and his staff for their forward thinking and proactive preparations!
