Each January the Athens-Clarke County Police Department names an officer the “Sworn Employe of the Year” for an extraordinary act of heroism or service. Last Thursday, the agency deviated from the norm – they named TWO officers of the year. Congratulations to Chris Dewitt and Dan Whitney! We have chronicled their lifesaving efforts previously at http://wp.me/p35jf1-fV and http://wp.me/p35jf1-hu. Dewitt and Whitney, thank you for using your Buddy Kits to save lives. You make the world a better place!
